Claude Code Subagent Pack
Stop retyping "run the tests and only tell me what failed." Install it once.
18 drop-in subagents for Claude Code that cover the jobs you delegate every day: review, tests, debugging, CI failures, security, refactors, dependency upgrades, migrations, performance, docs, research and planning. Each one has a clear procedure, rules against shortcuts, a short report format, a deliberate model choice and only the tools it needs. Noisy work runs on Haiku, so long logs stay out of your main conversation.
The 18 agents
| Agent | Model | What it does |
|---|---|---|
code-reviewer | Sonnet | Reviews the diff before you commit: correctness, safety, tests. Read-only. |
security-auditor | Sonnet | Injection, auth, secrets, unsafe input, risky dependencies. Read-only. |
pr-describer | Haiku | PR title and description from the commits and diff. |
test-runner | Haiku | Runs tests and returns only the failures. |
failing-test-fixer | Sonnet | Fixes the root cause. Never deletes or skips tests to go green. |
test-writer | Sonnet | Tests in your project's existing style. |
debugger | Sonnet | Reproduce, hypothesize, minimal fix, verify. |
ci-failure-investigator | Sonnet | Reads failed CI logs, classifies the cause, checks it locally. |
log-analyzer | Haiku | Turns huge logs into a short error table. |
refactorer | Sonnet | Small verified steps, behavior unchanged. |
dependency-upgrader | Sonnet | Reads changelogs, upgrades, fixes, in an isolated git worktree. |
migration-writer | Sonnet | Schema migrations checked for locks, data loss and compatibility. |
performance-optimizer | Sonnet | Measures first, keeps only changes that are measurably faster. |
lint-type-fixer | Haiku | Bulk lint and type fixes without silencing errors. |
docs-writer | Sonnet | README, API docs and changelogs that match the code. |
explorer-haiku | Haiku | Cheap read-only code search and summaries. |
docs-researcher | Haiku | Current official docs for your installed version, with sources. |
planner | Opus | Ordered implementation plan with files, risks and checks. Read-only. |
Change any model with one line. Read-only agents have no Edit or Write tool.

./install.sh --user # all your projects
Then: Use the code-reviewer subagent to review my changes, or type @ and pick an agent.
Format and honest notes
Plain Markdown files you can read before you use them, plus a PDF guide. The frontmatter was checked against Anthropic's subagent documentation on 2026-10-19 and passes claude plugin validate. How well an agent does its job depends on your codebase and model, so treat them as strong starting points you can edit. Written with AI assistance and reviewed by hand. Questions
What exactly is a subagent file?
A Markdown file with YAML frontmatter (name, description, tools, model) that Claude Code loads from .claude/agents/ or ~/.claude/agents/. Claude delegates matching tasks to it, and it works in its own context window and returns a summary.
Why pay when example subagents are free?
Anthropic's docs show a few short examples, and they are a good start. This pack is 18 agents that work as a set: each has a step-by-step procedure, rules against shortcuts such as deleting failing tests, a fixed report format, a deliberate model choice (Haiku for noisy work, Sonnet for judgment, Opus for planning) and tight tool lists. You also get a safe installer, a format checker and a guide.
Is it tied to one stack?
No. The agents find your project's own test, lint and migration commands from the repo, so they work with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, Ruby and others.
Will it save usage?
It can help: the noisy jobs (running tests, reading logs, searching code) run on Haiku and return short summaries, so less lands in your main conversation. Subagent requests still count toward your limits, and we do not promise a specific saving.
Which Claude Code version do I need?
Any recent version that supports subagents. The files passed claude plugin validate on Claude Code 2.1.304. One agent uses isolation: worktree, which needs git.
Can I get a refund?
